DIOR: CRAFTING FASHION DESIGN ALUMNI CHALLENGE

As SCAD prepared the new launch of the new Dior exhibition at SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion+Film, SCAD invites Alumni to participate in celebrating fashion's most iconic symbols: the bee. A common symbol used in Christian Dior's designs, SCAD alumni work on this fashion design challenge, "L'Abeille Dorée," celebrating shared values between the House of Dior and SCAD, which are perfectly symbolized in the bee.

REMINISCENCE: HASTA LA RAÍZ

'Hasta La Raíz' is a fashion collection inspired by an evolution of a personal story of my upbringings growing up in Mexico. In my initial research I aim to capture the essence of my childhood, my interests growing up and silhouettes that derive from extensive research from my cultural background.

NAVE

Nave draws from 16th century costume, churches, and stately home interiors; where symmetry, proportion, and order defined both space and dress. Architectural silhouettes echo the geometry of nave and hall, while sharp, raw, and intentional detailing reflects historical tailoring. 

SWAROVSKI INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

Designed a 3 look commercially viable collection using sustainable materials and Swarovski’s Reignited Crystals. Competed against other students interested in participating in the design Competition, leading up to be a finalist and presented my work to Swarovski for review into the next step.
