L'Abeille Dorée Alumni Fashion Design Challenge

This challenge invites selected SCAD alumni to explore the legacy of the bee as a powerful symbol used across eras and

cultures. What does the bee mean? How can you translate its meaning: industry, collaboration, divinity and sovereignty,

into your own work? Inspired by the upcoming SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film Dior exhibition, which celebrates the

House of Dior’s quality and enduring commitment to beauty and innovation, this challenge celebrates the bee as our shared

symbol and philosophy. Alumni will create half-scale garments a la “Théâtre de la Mode.” Completed works will be

displayed at SCAD FASH as inspiration for current students, celebrating the enduring creativity of the alumni community.
